The small catalytic lamp was ingeniously crafted by pharmacy dispenser Maurice Berger in 1898 for the purpose of purifying hospital air. Its effectiveness quickly led to popular acclaim among the general public. Over time, famous designers reimagined its design, and it garnered the attention of leading cultural figures, including Coco Chanel, Picasso, Colette, and Jean Cocteau. Eventually, it was equipped with a perfuming function, evolving into a style icon valued for its elegant design and subtle fragrances.
